Lumi Braiding Bar

The 11-meter space was carefully planned to maximize functionality, accommodating a (i) storage section, (ii) a product display, (iii) a braiding bar, (iv) a manicure station, (v) a lounge, (vi) a hair wash area, and (vii) a wash room. Thoughtful space planning ensured the original intent of the layout was realized while optimizing how people move and use the space.

Designed to celebrate both form and function, Lumi Braiding Bar reimagines the traditional hair salon with a modern, minimal approach that feels elevated yet approachable. The design draws inspiration from the strength of industrial elements and the softness of minimalism, creating a subtle play of contrasts; an industrial ceiling paired with light, airy floors below, establishing a sense of openness, calm, and intrigue.
Lighting is used intentionally here, from floor-to-ceiling panels to directional fixtures and hanging lights, enhancing and showcasing every corner of the bar in different moods.
